From May 1 to 4, 2025, Silent Green in Berlin was transformed into a vibrant center for contemporary character design. The 21st edition of the Pictoplasma conference brought together international creatives from illustration, animation, game design, and visual arts to discuss and shape the future of figurative aesthetics.
A festival of diversity and innovation
Pictoplasma 2025 offered an extensive program: from inspiring lectures by renowned artists to interactive workshops and lively discussions about the role of characters in an AI-driven world. Particularly noteworthy were the contributions of artists such as Angela Kirkwood, known for her DIY aesthetic, and Boldtron, who combines digital experimentation with organic approaches.
